Books 35 thousand volumes of books including about 12 hundred volumes received as gratis
Peer-Reviewed Journals The library subscribes to 65 peer-reviewed journals from 37 publishers of international repute
Journal collection The library has developed a bound journal collection of 512 backfile volumes
Magazines Library subscribes to 21 magazine including both subject specific and general in scope and also subscribes to most of leading local and national level newspapers.
Online Accesses
The library offers online access to more than 5000 journals mainly through eShodh Sindhu Consortium. Journals are freely accessible within institutional campus and are also accessible from anywhere and at anytime via off-campus access mode facilitated by the Library.
Book Loan Service
The library offers book loan service to students, research scholars, faculty members and administrative staff of the University. The number of books that users can borrow from the library varies across these types of users. Further, to ensure that all users get an equal chance to get books of their interest, loan period is limited for a fixed period of time.
Interlibrary Loan Services
Despite the richness of the collections of any library, users still need information resources that remain unavailable in their parent institutions. To overcome such limitation, libraries tend to be collaborative and share their resources and expertise. IUST library is also a part of such initiatives, for book-related demands, IUST has institutional membership of Developing Library Network (DELNET) and for research articles it relies on the facilities of JCCC@eShodh Sindhu.
Internet Browsing Service
The Library has established a Browsing Centre with 50 workstations with high speed broadband Internet connectivity and wi-fi internet facility. It is open to all the registered users of the library.
Build your Career
The Career Corner in the Reference area offers a vibrant collection of materials for competitive examinations. The Corner is rich in collection covering almost all the subjects to help students appearing in Indian Administrative Service (IAS), National Eligibility Test (NET), Kashmir Administrative Service (KAS), General Aptitude Test (GAT), Management Aptitude Test (MAT), AIEEE, etc.
Creation of Book Bank
Book Bank facility hosts text book collections pertaining to the courses offered in the University. The facility is available to students from financially weak background, meritorious students, specially-abled students, and others.
